39 Weeks

I can still barely believe it myself, but on the day that marked my being 39 weeks hapai, we met the little guy we’ve dreamt of for nine and a half months.

The homebirth of our son truly was everything we had hoped for: safe, peaceful, and in alignment with our values and wishes.  And the outcome was the happiest family ever.

My journey from womanhood to motherhood was by far the single most intense, life-changing and empowering experience I’ve ever had and I can’t wait to share it with as many people as possible.  You’ll have to be patient with me, though, as all I’ve wanted to do since the little one was born is stare at him and kiss every single millimeter of his being.

We are so in love and already know that time is going to fly with him, so Ben and I have been loving up every moment of our new family.  Soon, though, I promise to share our story.

For now, a cute photo will just have to suffice. Winking smile
